NPHC

Known as the Smoothest Horse in the World, the Peruvian has long been sought after for its easy ride and amiable temperament. With its thick mane and forelock; and small, tipped ears, the beauty and grace of the Peruvian is legendary. The gait of the Peruvian Horse is passed 100% to its offspring. Peruvian Horses often look as if they are on parade.
The vision of our group is to serve and promote interest in the history, breeding, ownership, exhibition, publicity, use and improvement of the Peruvian Paso horse. This breed offers an unique equine experience unlike any other with its intelligence, gait and beauty.
NWPHC is a 501(c) 3 corporation. It has been set up for the education about and fostering of regional ownership and enjoyment of the Peruvian Paso horse. The organization is a local charter for the national North American Peruvian Paso Horse Association. The club promotes the Peruvian Horses at the local level and help newcomers to learn more about the breed, as well as offering many equine and social activities for their members’ education and enjoyment. Typical activities include putting on an annual horse show in Monroe, Washington, riding in parades, participating in horse fairs, wine rides, clinics, trail rides and other popular pastimes. The organization is centered in the Northwest but has members from all over the West Coast and Canada. A general membership meeting is held each year. One fund-raising horse show is sponsored annually.
